High-performance Ba<sub>1−x </sub>K <sub>x</sub> Fe<sub>2</sub>As<sub>2</sub> superconducting joints for persistent current operation

Superconducting joints are one of the key technologies to make Ba1-xKxFe2As2 (Ba-122) superconducting wires or tapes for high-field applications. Herein, were fabricated by a simple cold-pressing method, and joint resistance iron-based was estimated first time. The properties, microstructures, elements distribution in regions investigated. At 4.2 K 10 T, transport critical current Ic 105 A obtained, ratio (CCR= Ic-joint/Ic-tape) 94.6%. On other hand, show very low 2.7x10^-13 ohm self-field at K. Among superconductors (IBS), this work is successfully realize with such high CCR resistance. This shows great potential apply Ba-122 range practical applications, where essential.
